How to Request a Correction
- Email corrections@shopteg.com with the page link and the specific figure or statement you believe is wrong.
- Include a source if you have one: a filing, a regulator record, an audited report, or a public statement.
- We acknowledge every request within 2 business days and resolve it within 10 business days.
What Happens Next
- Factual errors (a wrong number, a wrong owner, an outdated filing) are fixed and the record is marked as corrected with the date.
- Unsourced claims are removed from the site while we verify them. We do not wait for a dispute to do this: anything without a source is withheld automatically.
- Ratings and grades are our opinion under the published methodology. We will re-check the facts a rating relies on, and update the rating if those facts change.
How to Read Our Data
- "From SEC filings": revenue, net income, dividends, buybacks, and CEO pay are extracted automatically from the company's own SEC filing, which is linked.
- "(est.)": a Shoptegrity estimate, such as the share of revenue going to wages or marketing. Estimates are not reported figures.
- "[source]": a specific fact (OSHA count, denial rate, enforcement action) with a link to where it comes from.
- "Pending source verification": we had a claim but no source yet, so it is not shown.
